In preparation for upcoming repaving work, Palmer Paving will be milling several roads Tuesday, April 26, 2022, including:
- Rock Valley Road from Southampton Road to the Easthampton line
- Green Willow Drive
- McLellan Drive
- Village Road
- Ross Road
- Lenox Road
Work will begin at 7:00 AM and continue throughout the day. There will be some traffic impacts when this work is ongoing but no road closures or detours are anticipated. Crews from Palmer Paving will then spend the next several weeks adjusting structures and making other repairs before the roadways are paved. Additional notification will be provided when the paving work is scheduled.
Also, on April 27 we will be working on the following roads:
- Edward Drive
- Martin St.
- W Glen St.
April 28 we will likely be working Apremont Highway from the top down to Rock Valley Rd.
We will be also be scoping out High Street work over the next few days and it will likely take several weeks to get approval from chapter 90 staff for the work. We don’t expect that it will happen during this mobilization but we will push to make it happen.
The order of street repaving are identified by the road condition index reflected in the pavement management system that lives at the DPW – a critical decision making tool when trying to prioritize limited resources.
