Please be advised that starting at 8:00am on Monday, February 17, 2025, a reverse parking ban will be enforced, prohibiting parking on the EVEN side of the street and on cul-de-sacs until further notice. Les informamos que a partir de las 8am del 17 de febrero, comenzará una prohibición de estacionamiento inversa, prohibiendo estacionarse en el lado PAR de la calle y en las calles sin salida hasta nuevo aviso. MassHire Holyoke has developed a resource guide for employees during this time.

The Family First Act

The Family First Act provides employees expanded sick time for Covid-19 related needs including quarantine, caring for ill family members, and child care.

MassHealth and Unemployment Benefits

MassHealth insurance enrollment has been extended at this time. Applicants can go to the MassHealth site on Mass.gov to apply.

Unemployment has been expanded during this crisis. The rules and regulations changing frequently so applicants are advised to go directly to the Mass Unemployment website to learn more.

Employee Rights and Employer Obligations

The Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office is maintaining a page with FAQs regarding employee rights during this crisis. Any workplace complaints can be filed with the AG using their online complaint form.
