PUBLIC NOTICE: The Holyoke Water Works is providing notice to its customers of water service interruption that will include loss of water pressure and possible discoloration due to work performed on the public water system for the new Holyoke Soldiers Home located off Cherry Street. The areas impacted from the work have been identified as Community Field, Summit Avenue, sections of Hillside Avenue from Ridgewood Avenue up to and including Dillon Street, Ridgewood Avenue, Columbus Avenue, Brookline Avenue, Belvidere Avenue, Francis Avenue, Raymond Avenue and Woods Avenue.
Northern Construction Services has been subcontracted by the Massachusetts Division of Capital Asset Management & Maintenance (DCAMM) to connect the water system serving the new Soldiers Home to the public water system in Cherry Street. The water main in Cherry Street is the primary source of water to the homes in these areas and the work will have a direct impact on their water service.
The Holyoke Water Works will be working in conjunction with Northern Services to minimize water service disruption to these areas during the work and possibly a short time after the work has been completed. Expect water service disruption to take place on or after 8:00 am on Monday, September 23, 2024 with water service fully restored by 12:00 noon.
