Please be advised that starting at 8:00am on Monday, February 17, 2025, a reverse parking ban will be enforced, prohibiting parking on the EVEN side of the street and on cul-de-sacs until further notice. February 5, 2024
The meeting was called to order at 6:35. Members present included Anne, Tim, Chris, Gloria, Navae and Mark. Grantee communications- Several thank you letters were received (Natalia at Holyoke Media, Arts Integration Studio, Motoko) Treasurer’s Report- Updated unclaimed grants for 2023; $70,510.28 has been reimbursed so far. Unclaimed grants include Arts Extension Service, Laura Hicks, Three Man Ham, Silverthorne Theatre, and One Holyoke CDC. (Extensions were previously granted to the Holyoke Farmers Market, Fanfare Brass, and Bilingual Arts & Crafts until May 2024.) For the 2024 grant cycle $3,697.82 has been reimbursed so far. At the next meeting we plan to review local priorities and consider where to table at events to promote the council.
Upcoming events- Navae shared that the Zinefest will take place at the Holyoke Senior Center on April 27. “An afternoon with a Rockette” will take place on Feb. 22. Whiskey Wednesdays, an evening of jazz, will be at Fame on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
Old business- Nadia’s document on alternate funding sources was discussed. Is this something the council wants to prioritize? To be continued. The meeting ended at 7:45.
