Please be advised that starting at 8:00am on Monday, February 17, 2025, a reverse parking ban will be enforced, prohibiting parking on the EVEN side of the street and on cul-de-sacs until further notice. Cultural Council minutes Feb. 3, 2025.
Present: Chris Dunay, Anne Thalheimer, Navae Fenwick Rodriguez, Mark Dunlap, Chris Fournier, Tim Damon Absent: Gloria Caballero.                              
Grantee communications- A letter of thanks was received from Amy West, for Shadow, Sound, Spectacle: Literary Monsters. 
A grant extension request was received from Michelle Falcon Fontanez for “Ashes in My Neighborhood” Chris D moved to approve the extension until May 31. All paperwork must be submitted by that date. All approved the motion.                                              
Treasurer’s Report- For 2024, $101, 905 to grant: $77,441.82 has been reimbursed, $24,463.18 is outstanding. For 2025, $66,200 to grant: $2,195.30 has been reimbursed and $64,004.70 is outstanding.                                 
Grant reception- Fame was chosen as our location for this year’s gathering following consideration of many other possible venues. Menu to be decided following confirmation of a date with Fame.                    
We need new members! We need members to step into leadership positions!                
Several folks attended the soft opening of the new Puerto Rican Cultural District representing the council. Anne shared that MA has a new official poet laureate.
