Holyoke Water Works to Begin Roadwork Restoration Work

“HWW Phase-2B Road Paving begins 06/19/23
Roadway resurfacing (milling) & Paving work (along with miscellaneous restoration like sidewalk & lawn repairs) is scheduled for Portland Street, Magnolia Avenue, Hampden Street (from Northampton Street to Nonotuck Street), and Nonotuck Street (from Hampden Street to Beacon Avenue). The work is planned to begin Monday, June 19th and continue through Friday, June 30th. The day prior to paving on a particular street, the contractor will place no parking signs on the street, which will be enforced with towing. Work will start at 6:30 AM and may continue until 6:00 PM. During paving, the street will be closed to thru traffic, although local resident traffic will be allowed.   • Monday-6/19: Milling Magnolia & Portland (starting at DeadEnd & ending at Beech)
  • Tuesday-6/20: Milling Hampden & side streets (including Nonotuck; assumingly starting at Beacon & ending at Northampton)
  • Wednesday-6/21: Paving Magnolia & Portland (starting at DeadEnd & ending at Beech)
  • Thursday-6/22: Paving Hampden (assumingly starting at Nonotuck & ending at Northampton)
  • Friday-6/23: Paving side streets of Hampden (including Nonotuck; assumingly starting at Beacon & ending at Arlington)
  • Week of 6/26 – 6/30: Work is assumed to be completed; If not, miscellaneous paving will be occurring in various locations (most likely in the Nonotuck/Hampden area)
