Superintendent Process – Meeting #1 Agenda

The focus of the Community Advisory Team’s work during the 2024-25 school year will be to support the School Committee’s planning and implementation of its Superintendent hiring and evaluation processes.

Anticipated activities of the Community Advisory Team include:

● Providing direct input and facilitating broad-based community input into the School Committee’s superintendent hiring process

● Providing feedback on action steps developed by the School Committee during the Receiver’s evaluation process, which may include the collection and/or analysis of evidence and the identification of focus performance indicators of interest

Through their engagement with the HSC’s hiring and evaluation activities, the Community Advisory Team will help ensure robust stakeholder engagement with the continuous improvement of HPS.

  • Discuss community involvement in process
    1. How to involve the community in defining expectations for the Superintendent?
    1. Offer feedback on proposed survey
  • What’s working well in HPS?
  • What needs to be improved in HPS?
  • Homework: What are the Supt characteristics that would build on our strengths and shore up areas to be improved?
