Free COVID Testing Available in Springfield and Agawam Extended Until Sept 12

Citing COVID-19 clusters, compliance violations, Massachusetts postpones second step of Phase 3 reopening ‘indefinitely,’ Gov. Charlie Baker says

Citing recent large parties that fly in the face of the COVID-19 restrictions, Gov. Charlie Baker said Friday Massachusetts will indefinitely postpone entering the second step of Phase 3.

Currently there are 1029 positive COVID cases in Holyoke <1% increase

7637 confirmed cases in Hampden County < 1% increase

1184 in Hampshire <1% increase

411 in Franklin <1% increase

667 in Berkshire no change

Testing has a turnaround time of 6-10 days and many cases are being clinically diagnosed (no testing or reporting involved). All are advised to behave as though they are carriers of Covid-19.

Massachusetts has now experienced a total of 8,529 deaths among the 112,969 confirmed Covid-19 cases. *Massachusetts is now reporting “probable” Coronavirus deaths in addition to confirmed cases.
