Administrative Assistant to the City Council

Jeffery Anderson-Burgos

Jeffery is the Administrative Assistant to the City Council, having started in the position on November 16, 2020. He is a graduate of Holyoke Community College with an Associate’s degree in Sociology as well as Bachelor’s degree in Political Science through the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst. He served as President of the Student Senate at HCC, graduated as a valedictorian, and earned the college’s nomination for the 2015 “29 Who Shine” award. He is a board member for the Greater Holyoke Council for Human Understanding, a member of the Holyoke St Patrick’s Parade Committee, Holyoke Pride Committee, and an officer at the Masonic lodge in Brattleboro, VT. He is also an avid runner, having run in 8 marathons and counting. He has lived in Holyoke with his husband, Juan, since 2012, and originally grew up in Westland, Michigan.
