City FY25 Paving Program Update

The City has recently contracted with Warners Brothers Construction for the FY25 Paving Program.  Work to be completed this Fall is anticipated to start on October 18th as follows:

  • South Street (from Northampton St to High Street)
    • Milling – Oct. 18th and Oct. 21st
    • Adjustment of structures – Oct. 22nd to Oct. 23rd
    • Paving – Oct. 30th and October 31st.
  • Beech Street (from Northampton Street to Ladd Street) –
    • Milling – Oct. 21st and Oct. 22nd
    • Adjustment of structures – Oct. 24th to Oct. 25th
    • Paving – Oct. 31st to Nov. 1st
  • Linden Street (from Beech Street to Anderson Avenue)
    • Milling – Oct. 22nd to Oct. 23rd
    • Adjustment of structures – Oct. 25th
    • Paving – Oct. 31st to Nov. 1st
  • Homestead Avenue (from Fairmont Street to Westfield Road)
    • Milling – Oct. 23rd to Oct. 24th
    • Adjustment of structures – Oct. 28th to Oct. 29th
    • Paving – Nov. 4th to Nov. 5th

It should be noted that emergency vehicles, local traffic, buses, and delivery services will be allowed through.  Traffic signals will also be affected and set to timers during construction activities.  Residents should expect minor delays and are requested to seek alternate routes if possible.

Tentitive list of streets for Spring 2025 paving include the following and more details will be provided in Spring 2025:

  • Jackson Street (from High Street to South Race Street)
  • Meadow Street (from Main Street to end)
  • Old Jarvis Avenue (from Jarvis Avenue to Easthampton Road)
  • Bassett Road (from Old Jarvis Avenue to Alma Street)
  • Dupuis Road (from Apremont Highway to the Southampton town line)
